Zhang Jingchuan(Jean) is a girl born in Sichuan. At the age of 4, due to her parents’ job, she moved to Beijing. After graduating from high school, she chose to leave Beijing and go to Sichuan University to study journalism. Here she learned the theoretical knowledge about it, covering A History of Journalism, Media Relations and PR Media, In-depth Reportage Studies, and News Criticism,etc. She successfully obtained the bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2020.
In her undergraduate studies, she used to work as an intern reporter for Sichuan Daily, participating in and reported correlative artistic and cultural activities around Chengdu area and also shot and filmed arts performance. After graduation, she joined the administrative department of China Unicom Beijing Branch and responsible for writing and drafting the company’s internal propaganda documents, helping the company to better promote the corporate culture. But while working there, she became more aware that she wanted to focus on the media industry. So she resigned and went to NetEase News as an editor, controlling the news content in the platform in the backend system to ensure that high-quality content can be exposed.
In order to improve her vision and skills as a journalist, in the fall of 2021, she entered the Hong Kong University to continue her graduate degree in journalism. She is currently a full-time master student of JMSC.
